Big hearted, Shelagh or SHE (40) is the only one in the band who could actually sing. The maternal one, always there with a shoulder to cry on, an ear to bend and a finger to pull she has been making a living on the Jazz/pub circuit since. SHE is a feminist, unlucky in love and single. She remains calm, but itıs all going on underneath.
Redheaded, hot-headed, go-getter Sue (40) known as 'RED' after her trademark red hair. Twenty years on, RED is still engaged to Dan, has two kids and teaches dance locally. Opinionated, smart, loud and bitter. RED can't sing, can't write and can't quite believe she's not famous.
Sexy, leather clad, Nuala (40) commonly known as 'NAUGHTY NUALA', after her unabashed naughtiness, is renowned for her good looks. She is now a 'masseuse' and still squeezing into leather. NUALA is living with Kevin (15 years her senior and former boss) She is actually a bit thick, a bit tight and a boozer, but sweet and good fun.
MALCOLM (late 30s) is Chix's biggest fan and self-appointed chairman of The Chix fan club. Highly intelligent, witty but with a mean streak. Disabled with cerebral palsy and taking full advantage of his situation.
SEAN (30) the good looking barman, early 30s. A man of few words, but can sing like an angel.
